Several of my plugins were using the UTW category tables, so that may take a bit of toggling to find out which one is complaining. Probably you have a plugin which is no longer compatible. Probably the plugin grabs the most recent post from each category, looking at the SQL. On the importing tags front; go to Manage > Import, and there's an option to import tags from UTW and a bunch of other places.
